November 15, 2005 will be the next meeting. A fun workshop will start at 10am, cost is $3, “I’m in the Garden” Garden Glove. By Claire Grieve and Jo Douville.

Bring an ornament for the decorated Christmas tree. This will be a delightful opportunity drawing that will make a great gift.

2pm prepare for a presentation from Glen Bauer of Frog Hollow in Cobb. Program topic: Fish & Water Gardening. There will be a demonstration of creating a fountain.

It’s time for the club to sell and make Christmas Wreaths. Nov. 30th will begin the 3 day long workshop of cutting, sorting and gathering greens. The monies collected will provide a scholarship for a student studying in the horticulture field. Please contact Gina-Belle Smith, gardenbunny0@yahoo.com for sign ups to help and to get your order form to sell those wreaths! Beautiful scented greenery accented with a bow of your choice for only $18.

Field Trip Scheduled: Nov. 5, 2005, a Saturday to the Conservatory of Flowers, cost is only $37. This is a bus trip leaving from Ukiah. Sponsored by the Mendo-Lake District Garden Club.

Jubilee Grants Program
The Jubilee Grant Program is funded by California Garden Clubs, Inc., and is offered to all CGCI garden clubs, groups of clubs and districts. Grants of up to $1000 may be awarded for worthwhile landscaping projects incorporating California's native plants and/or wild flowers. The amount of each grant awarded will depend on the overall size and scope of the project; groups whose members actively participate and support their projects are more likely to be funded. No matching funds will be required. Application deadline is Feb. 1, 2006.

Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl Poster Contest
Once again it is time for Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl Poster Contest.
There are a few changes & additions. Please check them out at www.califoniagardenclubs.org or contact Chairman Pat Hopper for information or ideas.

Earn recognition for the efforts of your club. Enter today at www.californiagardenclubs.org. For information, contact Awards Chai.r, Jo Shaul.

December we close the year with a Holiday Luncheon that will be held at The Tee Room, Buckingham Golf Course, in Kelseyville. Including a special holiday presentation given by the Son’s of Norway. Cost is $15 must RSVP by Nov. 15th meeting or call Gina-Belle Smith.
